Description: Long Slim Cayenne pepper is a long red chilli pepper with a good hot taste. It measures 30,000-50,000 SHU of the Scoville scale of hotness. The chilli peppers can also be dried and stored as well as being used fresh. Very good for growing in pots.

How To Grow Red Cayenne Chilli Pepper From Seed: Chilli Peppers do best when grown in pots in a greenhouse as they require plenty of heat. Sow in small pots or seedling modules. Sow 1 - 2 seeds per pot/cell. Cover lightly with compost and keep moist.
Germination is most successful at temperatures of 22°C or above. A heat mat or heated propagator may be needed to achieve this. Germination can take up to 3 weeks.
When the seedlings get their first true leaves, pot them on into a larger pot. Repeat this as the plant grows, giving it a bigger pot as it grows.
After the plant flowers, the peppers will start to grow. They will turn from green to red as they ripen. They can be harvested once they are fully developed, even while still green.
