150 Organic Hilari Leek Seeds [approx]

Common Name: Leek: Freezo

Latin Name: Allium porrum

Description: Hilari is a quick growing, early variety of leek. It can be harvested in late summer/Autumn. It has a very long, narrow, and closed stem shaft. It is bolt resistant.

Seed Origin: Germany

Sowing: January to April

Harvesting: July to October

How To Grow Hilari Leek From Seed: Sow outdoors at a depth of 2cm from April, into a well prepared seed bed. Alternatively sow Hilari leek seed indoors from January to March at a depth of 2cm, in seedling modules or small pots, using free-draining, seed sowing compost.

When leek seedlings are well established, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before transplanting them into the well prepared, fertile, well drained soil in sun or semi shade. Plant Hilari leeks at a distance of 10 - 15cm between plants and 35cm between rows. Water the plants thoroughly after planting.
