Pepper: Chocolate Mini Organic Seed

15 OrganicĀ Mini Chocolate Pepper SeedsĀ [approx]

Name: Pepper: Chocolate Mini

Latin Name: Capsicum annuum

Description: Mini Chocolate Pepper gets its name from the colour of the pepper it produces, rather than the taste of the pepper! It is a compact plant, not growing much higher than 50cm. It produces miniature bell peppers, roughly 4cm in diameter, that are a dark purplish/brown colour.

Seed Origin:Ā France

Sowing: March to May

Harvesting: June to September

How To Grow Mini Chocolate Pepper From Seed:Ā Peppers do best when grown in pots in a greenhouse as they require plenty of heat. Using a seedling module or small pots, sow 2 seeds in each cell/pot. Cover lightly with compost and keep moist. The seeds should germinate after 2 to 3 weeks. After germination, keep only the strongest seedling in each cell/pot. Pepper seed germination will be best if kept at room temperature while germinating.

When the seedlings get their first true leaves, pot them on into a larger pot. Repeat this as the plant grows, giving it a bigger pot as it grows. This mini pepper does not require a very large pot.

After the plant flowers, the peppers will start to grow. They will turn from green to purple as they ripen. They can be harvested once they are fully developed, even while still green.

Seed count isĀ approximate.
